3 google tools

1) Panoramio: This is a great resource for seeing pictures of different places around the world. This is really beneficial for looking at what regions look like. Instead of just searching for images of Vietnam, the studetns will be able to explore the different cultural and natural characteristics of the region, which will help them have a better understanding of the region.

2) Google Translate: Google translate would be very beneficial for any world history class, especially while looking at primary source documents that are written in other languages. They can put the text of the article into gogle translate and they will be able to see the essence of what is being said (withouth the tedious word by word translation through a dictionary).

3) Google Books: Here my students would be able to access past issues of Life magazine. This would be a great resource for them to see what people were thought about in that era. For example, there is an issue in 1965 that contains an article entitled The true war in Vietnam. The studnets would then be able to read this article and see what America thought about the war that early in the history of the war.
